Baahubali 2: A feminist perspective

I had waited for this movie since 2015, and that is a long time. It was so exciting to finally have a confirmed released date and despite having finals the next week I went ahead and watched it. And it was soooooo worth it.

Yes, the movie did have some flaws but overall it was worth it.

As with all Indian films, it was patriarchal, the film used every possible method to drag the female characters down. I was excited about this franchise primarily because of the strong female characters in the first part. I admired the strong women and how they were portrayed but the second film was cliched and honestly, a little sad.
